Jasmin Ashley

Jasmin Ashley is a graduating senior from Grapevine High School in Grapevine, TX. She will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with a minor in environmental science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Jasmin is a National AP Scholar, a National Merit Commended Scholar, a College Board National African Recognition Winner, and a recipient of the Texas PTA Scholarship. She served as the vice president of activities for Texas State DECA and was a three-time regional winner for Individual Role-play Competition. During her high school career, she participated in varsity tennis, the National Honor and National Science societies, a high school ambassador program, and completed an independent study in learning to read and write Korean. Passionate about conserving the environment and ensuring sustainability in human practices, she completed a horticulture, environmental restoration, and education internship with Grapevine Parks and Recreation, co-founded an independent sustainability service project in which she developed a plan to implement a sustainability cycle for a local elementary school, and volunteered at monthly habitat restoration and environmental clean-up events.
