Baylee Goeas Galdeira
Baylee Goeas Galdeira is a proud native Hawaiian scholar-athlete with a deep commitment to cultural preservation and community advocacy. A political science major with a pre-law certificate and a minor in Hawaiian Studies, Baylee maintains a 3.97 GPA at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. Her academic excellence has earned her numerous honors, including the Department of Political Science Academic Excellence Award, multiple scholarships, and recognition as a UH Hilo Scholar-Athlete.
Baylee’s leadership extends beyond the classroom. She is a member of the UH Hilo Women’s Volleyball team and has been involved in hula, student service clubs, and internships focused on Hawaiian language and food policy. Her community service includes volunteering in a local taro patch, organizing food drives, and supporting cultural events. Her ultimate goal is to become a lawyer advocating for the rights of native Hawaiians and addressing issues such as land loss, identity, and economic inequality.
