Abigail (Abby) is a passionate community advocate and emerging leader dedicated to creating positive social change. While pursuing her Master of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University, Abby has led civic engagement initiatives, organized community service programs, and championed voter education and accessibility. Through her commitment to public service, policy advocacy, and support for vulnerable populations, she is working toward a career focused on addressing housing instability, inequality, and other systemic challenges facing communities.

“I am deeply honored to receive the Marianna Brady, PhD. Scholarship. My mom’s work ethic has always been one of my biggest inspirations. Her dedication, resilience, and commitment to doing her best in everything she takes on have shaped the way I approach my own goals. This scholarship not only eases the financial burden of my education but also feels like a meaningful recognition of the values she has instilled in me. I am incredibly grateful for this support as I continue my education and work toward giving back to the communities that have shaped me.”

Abby is the daughter of Michelle Meyer (Associa Community Management Corporation – Virginia).
