Dallas, TX – April 26, 2019 – Associa, the industry’s largest community management company, showed its support for the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) at the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) biennial rally day held at the state capitol.
Veronica LeBlanc, Principal Management Group - Houston (PMG) vice president of business development, and Mike DeSilva, Houston Community Management Services community manager, represented Associa at the rally day. TAB’s rally focused on providing legislators the opportunity to meet directly with industry personnel about issues and legislation that have a direct impact on the community association management industry. GHBA members presented on several topics including safeguarding housing affordability to advocating for Hurricane Harvey relief funds, flood mitigation infrastructure, and the continued support for municipal utility districts during these meetings.
“We are so glad that Veronica and Mike took the time to go to the state capitol and advocate on behalf of our industry,” stated David Orr, PMG Houston president. “Effective communication with government officials aids in ensuring efficient and clear legislation for and regulation of our industry. Focused advocacy builds a rapport with our elected officials which enables us to have positive, honest communications about the issues that affect the everyday functions of Associa, and all managed communities in the great state of Texas.”
