Associa Gives Back to Communities with “The Great Giveback” Program

Dallas, TX –November 19, 2018– Associa, the industry’s largest community management company, is continuing its commitment to build strong communities, support neighbors, and give back to those in need by expanding its company-wide “The Great Giveback” volunteer initiative.  

“The Great Giveback” is a community service endeavor that encourages and provides paid time off for Associa employees to engage in community projects using the 10:4:1 approach: the projects include up to 10 percent of each location’s employees, dedicating up to four hours of service to one community project.

This year, Associa had more than 550 employees volunteer for “The Great Giveback,” dedicating more than 2,300 hours to a variety of community projects. Activities included volunteering for the Humane Society, working at food banks, packaging and shipping supplies for Habitat for Humanity, serving at women’s shelters, organizing blood drives, delivering meals through the Meals-on-Wheels program, and much more.

The Associa Colorado Association Services branch volunteered for their local Habitat for Humanity, spending their time packaging merchandise donated by True Value Hardware to ship to Restore Stores nationwide.

“We love taking a role in activities that help build and serve communities. As a community management company, we choose to partner with Habitat for Humanity to help bring supplies, services, and new homes to those who want to become part of a community too,” stated Ann Williams, Associa Colorado Association Services president.

“This years’ project submissions and contributions surpassed our greatest expectations,” stated Andrew Fortin, Associa senior vice president of external affairs. “The participation rate increased by 7% from last year, which is a testament to the true desire our employees have to give back. With the growing success of the program, we will continue to expand our community outreach and focus on making a lasting difference in these communities.”
