PLEASANTON, CA – June 8, 2018 – Associa Northern California’s president Sharon Topping, CMCA®, presented at the California Association of Community Managers (CACM) East Bay and South Bay regional forums.
The regional forums examine current community management industry issues on the local and state level. Attendees also enjoyed networking with peers and service providers, exploring the latest products and services, and hearing expert speakers.
The forums specifically educated attendees on the new California laws, including how to facilitate a smooth transition of the new conflict of interest disclosure requirements, monetary disclosure requirements, the non-commercial solicitation requirements and the community solar policies.
Ms. Topping participated in an industry expert panel that also included Liza DeJesus with Seabreeze Management Company, Inc., Andrea O'Toole, Esq. with Berding|Weil, LLP, and John Gill, Esq. with Hughes Gill Cochrane Tinetti.
“The educational event was immensely valuable to the CACM members and industry vendors,” stated George Zalitis, Associa senior vice president – western region. “The panels’ presentation helped the attendees understand the new laws and equipped them to start implementing those laws into their communities.”
