Associa Professional Community Management’s Wendy Bucknum and Katie Howe will Speak at Community Associations Institute’s Orange County Regional Chapter Luncheon

Foothill Ranch, CA – February 12, 2018Team members Wendy Bucknum, who also serves as a Mission Viejo City Council Member and Katie Howe, executive general manager, from Professional Community Management(PCM), an Associa company, will be guest speakers at the Community Associations Institute’s Orange County Regional Chapter luncheon on February 15th at the Irvine Marriott in Irvine, CA.

The luncheon and mini trade show will focus on How Community Associations Can Support Aging Residents.”  The discussions will provide information on the appropriate time for a board member or community manager to reach out to residents or their family because of issues related to an aging homeowner. Stretching beyond just age restricted communities, this program will help community managers and board members identify some key areas of focus when serving the elderly in HOAs including:

  • Resources for family members of aging residents
  • Issues related to social services
  • Adult protective services
  • Reverse mortgages
  • Foreclosing on assessment liens recorded against the senior population
  • Scams targeting seniors
