STOCKTON, CA – January 19, 2017 – Associa Northern California’s Senior Vice President of Management Services Greg Smith has officially begun his duties as president of Community Associations Institute (CAI) for 2017.
CAI is an international membership organization that provides information, education, and resources to the homeowner volunteers who govern communities and the professionals who support them. Smith was president-elect last year and has time to focus on some of the things he’d like to see accomplished in the year ahead.
“Professional networking and deep relationship building has long been a strength of CAI and one of the major benefits of membership,” says Smith. “In 2017 we will explore our obligations to each other as practitioners and leaders. How we practice our craft and bring up the next generation, no matter to what class of CAI membership we belong, affects all of us in some way. We need each other to truly succeed.”

He is currently serving in his sixth year on CAI’s national Board of Trustees, served as chair of CAI’s Association of Professional Community Managers (APCM) Board of Directors in 2014, and as president-elect in 2016.
