MISSION VIEJO, CA – January 10, 2017 – Associa Professional Community Management (PCM) is proud to announce that Wendy Bucknum has been selected to represent the citizens of Mission Viejo, California as its mayor for 2017. Bucknum is the vice president of business development for Associa PCM.

Serving Associa PCM for more than 23 years, Bucknum was elected to the Mission Viejo City Council in 2014 and served as its mayor pro tem last year. She has been a member of the Community Association Institute (CAI) since 2005, serving as the Orange County chapter president in 2009. Bucknum earned the prestigious Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) national designation from the CAI as well as the organization’s national Governmental Affairs Award in 2011. That same year, she earned Advocate of the Year honors by the South Orange County Regional Chamber of Commerce for her work on regional issues. In 2016 she received the May Russell Hall of Fame Award, Orange County CAI Chapter’s top honor.
