POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – February 11, 2016 – Associa New York,in partnership with the Poughkeepsie Journal, will be supporting the Special Olympics New York State Winter Games. The State Winter Games are scheduled for February 19-21 in Poughkeepsie and the local paper is donating a portion its advertising sales to the organization.
“The local distribution of the Journal is reason enough to advertise but when we found out that some of the cost would go toward the Special Olympics we felt that this was a win-win situation for us and the Special Olympics,” says Associa New York Director of Marketing & Business Development Amy Mihalchik. “I think it’s fanastic that the Poughkeepsie Journal is doing this and we’re proud to be a part of giving back to a worthy organization doing great things right here in Hudson Valley.”
The Associa New York advertisement will appear this Sunday, February, 14 along with others who have chosen to take part in the donation opportunity. If you are interested in donating to the Special Olympics or want to volunteer at the State Winter Games, you can do so on the Special Olympics website at www.specialolympics-ny.org/winter-games.
