December 28, 2016

PALM DESERT, California – December 28, 2016Desert Resort Management, an Associa company, recently hosted a free seminar for HOA board members and the house was packed at Desert Falls Country Club on December 9 with more than 40 association constituents eager to hear tips about how to improve their communities.

Featured speakers included Desert Resort Management President Mark Dodge, Community Association Manager Jennifer Zeivel, and facilitator Margaret "Gen" Wangler, Esq. along with her team from the law firm Fiore, Racobs & Powers.

“Successful communities depend on board members who are involved and it was great to see such a huge turnout for this event,” said Dodge. “There are always new HOA laws and regulations and we offer these sessions a few times a year because we know how important it is for our managed communities to stay in the know.”

The three-hour seminar covered topics including duties of board members, fiduciary duty, meetings & minutes, maintenance responsibilities, vendor & personnel issues, enforcing rules & regulations, annual budgets and assessment collection.
