All of the families living at the 49 unit Fountains On Carriageway Condos in Rolling Meadows are without a permanent home after a fire ravaged the entire building on the night of March 4. The association management company, Associa Chicagoland, is helping those displaced residents in multiple ways, along with help from the local community.
“It’s been absolutely amazing to see the Associa family, caring community members and other organizations come together for these families in their time of need,” says Associa Chicagoland Vice President Annette Byrd. “It’s a tough situation, but in the days since the fire there have been so many people offering assistance so many ways it just brings me joy to see neighbors helping neighbors.”
This past weekend Associa Chicagoland employees along with Lincoln Hancock Restoration personnel helped residents salvage what they could from the charred building. A mass community notification system has been set-up to keep the residents and landlords informed about the next steps towards recovery.
“Associa has been outstanding to work with and very accommodating to us every step of the way,” says Rolling Meadows Deputy Fire Chief Terry Valentino. “I was also very impressed at the quick progress made by the restoration company Lincoln Hancock.”
In addition, Associa Chicagoland employees have been collecting and organizing donations from friends, family members, industry partners and the community. Associa Cares, a non-profit disaster relief foundation, will be pledging close to $50,000 to assist the affected families which will allow them to purchase items they may need during this time.
