Community Development, Inc. (CDI), an Associa company, is proud to announce Lance Govang as its new president. Govang comes from Associa’s Michigan branch, where he served as the vice president, and now oversees CDI’s 238 communities.
“Lance has been a part of the Associa family for more than a decade and his industry knowledge and experience will be great assets to CDI,” says Associa Senior Vice President Chris Harrison. “Lance has most definitely earned this promotion through his loyalty to Associa and the reputation he has established for developing strong relationships with HOA boards.”
“I am honored to lead the team at CDI and welcome the opportunity to take on a new role and new challenges,” remarks Govang. “As this industry has grown it’s been exciting to be on the forefront of that growth with Associa, along-side the best professionals in the business.”
Govang began his career with Associa in 2001 and has been working in the community management industry for more than 25 years. He has earned his Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS), and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designations from the Community Associations Institute (CAI). Govang holds a Michigan Real Estate Broker’s license and a bachelor's degree from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
