RICHMOND, Virginia – August 14, 2015 - Associa Community Group, is proud to announce that Tara Keeven has earned her Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation. The CMCA designation is issued by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAM-ICB).
“Tara is a good example of someone who knew what she wanted and worked to achieve that goal,” said Associa Community Group President Scott Meardon. “Tara joined our team in 2012 in a support role to gain some experience. From there she learned all the best practices, and combined with her education, moved into a management position. We are exceptionally proud of how she has grown into her role as a community manager.”
Keeven is a graduate of Christopher Newport University and currently serves as a community manager for the AshCreek Property Owners Association in Hanover County, Virginia. “I knew early on that this is the industry in which I wanted to excel,” said Keeven. “This community offers a wonderful opportunity to combine my prior work experience and my educational background. Achieving this designation is another step towards my continued goal of providing exceptional service.”
The CMCA recognizes individuals who have successfully demonstrated the core knowledge, skills and abilities required to manage a community association. Once acquired, managers are encouraged to take continuing education classes to solidify their knowledge and active involvement in the industry.
