Phoenix, AZ - Associa’s CEO John Carona delivered an industry keynote address at the September luncheon of CAI’s Central Arizona Chapter and met with staff from Associa Arizona offices.
More than 300 attendees including board members, managers and industry business partners were on hand at the Phoenix Airport Marriott on September 9 to hear Mr. Carona’s thoughts on the challenges our industry faces. Mr. Carona spoke about issues he raised in his groundbreaking book, In the Common Interest. His speech covered the benefits of community associations, the challenges our industry faces and ways the industry can work together to ensure vibrant community associations now and in the future.
Mr. Carona noted that our industry faces many challenges. The negative perception of communities in the media, the lack of understanding by residents of the role of the manager and the board all contribute to the issues we hear about in HOAs and in Condos. He noted that the best way to continue to improve our industry is to listen to our homeowners. “It is a fundamental value of Associa, “Mr. Carona noted, “that if we treat our customers right, success will follow.”
After the speech, Mr. Carona signed complimentary copies of his book, In the Common Interest for attendees and staff.
