Funds to Assist Family with Rebuilding Expenses
Community Association Services of Indiana, an Associa company, with the help of Associa Cares, recently partnered with the Central Indiana Chapter of the Red Cross to provide assistance to Red Cross clients who have suffered a loss due to fire or natural disaster.
In the months of September and October, Associa Cares assisted eight families, giving more than $14,000 in assistance. The monetary assistance was used to pay security deposits/rent, purchase clothing, furniture, kitchen items and help meet other needs of the residents.
"It was an honor to partner with the Red Cross and a true blessing to be able to help so many people," said Valerie Atwell, CMCA, CASI's Associa Cares Committee Chairperson. "These families are truly deserving of the help, and I am glad Associa Cares was able to arrange for the donation quickly and in their time of need."
CASI holds fundraisers for Associa Cares at least twice a year, with the most recent being a silent auction at its annual open house which raised $4,800. In January, CASI is planning a fundraiser at a local bowling center.
Associa Cares is a national non-profit 501(c)3 organization created to assist families and communities in crisis as a result of natural and man-made disasters. Donations provided by these events allow Associa Cares to provide necessary goods and services to the families affected by these types of tragedies.
