Scott Meardon is President and CEO of Community Group, Inc. which has a full time staff in excess of 100 employees and is responsible for the management of over 50,000 homes in approximately 290 community associations. He has been involved in residential property management on a day-to-day basis for the past thirty years and has been with Community Group since 1984.
Professionally, he has earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations designation (CMCA®), the Professional Community Association Manager designation (PCAM®) from CAI, and the Certified Property Manager designation (CPM®) from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Scott received a Bachelor's Degree in math and computer science from the College of William and Mary and his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Additional areas of study include completion of the Professional Management Development Program at CAI and the Institute of Real Estate Management course work.
Originally from Long Island, he has now been a Richmond, Virginia resident for over 30 years. He and his wife of 22 years, Karen, have a daughter and a son. He also keeps fit as he jogs and plays in a racquetball league year round.
Scott is dedicated to continued growth of the company which has become the largest community association management firm in Virginia. He is also committed to the continued increase of professionalism in the community association industry through the education of association volunteers and professionals.
