Germain began her career in the real estate industry in 1994. Her main focus has been on the management of community association properties in Hawaii and Southern California, providing them with fiscal and full-service management. Most recently, she served as a community association manager for N.N. Jaeschke, Inc., an Associa company located in San Diego, California.

Germain is a graduate of the University of Portland. She received her Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation from the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM) and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designations from the Community Associations Institute (CAI).
