Benchmark Association Services, an Associa company, recently named Vincent T. Oliva Senior Vice President.

Oliva began his career in community association management in 1994. Originally from New Jersey, he began as a Recreation Director in large-scale seasonal community associations in Northeast Pennsylvania. After relocating to Southern Maryland in 2000, he became a portfolio manager specializing in large scale communities and was later promoted to the Director of Community Management in 2002.

He followed that up by being named the President & Chief Operating Officer of the AAMC Management Company in 2006, and served in that capacity until his departure and relocation to Las Vegas, Nev., and Benchmark. 

He is an active member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) both nationally and locally. On a national level, he has attained the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS), and the coveted Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation and has attended various National Conferences and Expositions.

Locally, while part of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter, he has served on various committees and was a member of the Recruiter Club. He is a co-instructor of the CAI’s ABC Course and a proctor for the M-100 Home Study Exam. Oliva has volunteered time and aided the efforts of several successful programs including a Board Orientation Training Seminar for newly elected Board Members, the conversion of a company to paperless filing, and instituting electronic Board Meetings for clients.
