Principal Management Group of Houston Appoints New Director of Management Services

Principal Management Group of Houston, an Associa company, proudly announces it has named Leslie Baldwin as its new director of management services.

As director of management services, Baldwin will lead a team of association managers and lead project management and organizational development. She will also assist her team with board conflict resolutions as well as directing her team on covenant enforcement.

“We are very happy for Leslie, and she is most deserving of this new position,” said PMG Houston President and CEO Dora Parker. “She is a seasoned professional in the community association management industry and is sure to provide unsurpassed service that goes beyond our homeowners’ expectations.”

Baldwin has worked in the community association management industry for nearly 13 years and has worked at Principal Management Group of Houston since 2010. She currently holds her CMCA and AMS designations and is working toward her PCAM. Baldwin is an active member of the PMG Houston marketing team, a member of Associa PAC and has worked on several committees including Associa Cares.

HRW, Inc. Welcomes New Director of Client Accounting

HRW, Inc., an Associa company, congratulates Josue Jean Jourdain on his recent hiring as Director of Client Accounting.

As Director of Client Accounting, Jourdain will prepare monthly bank reconciliations, monthly financial reports and year-end packages for external audits. He will also supervise monthly financial reports and help in preparing the annual budget.

“We are excited to bring someone with Josue’s credentials on board,” said HRW President Cathy Wade. “He is a seasoned professional in the field of accounting and is sure to provide unsurpassed service that goes beyond our homeowners’ expectations.”

Jourdain arrived at HRW from Associa sister branch Association Services of Florida where he served in the position of Lead General Bookkeeper since 2007. In addition to his financial and budgetary duties with ASF, he also represented his department at board meetings where he helped explain financial statements.

A 2006 graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, he also has multiple years of customer service experience and is fluent in speaking, reading and writing both Creole and French.

Associa Hawaii, an Associa company, joins the condominium Council of Maui as a sponsor of the May 9 seminar: “Reducing Conflict In Your Community Through Better Communication,” featuring national speaker Debra Warren.

Community Association Managers and Board Members are placed in the position of resolving conflict simply by the nature of the issues presented to them in the day-to-day operation of an Association. The governing documents place them in the position of enforcing rules, collecting assessments and managing disputes between neighbors. Add to these duties the fact that these issues deal directly with the homes of those involved and you increase the sensitivity and emotional content of the potential conflict.

Held Thursday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to noon, Warren will review why conflict occurs in community associations and address the nature of conflict, methods to handle conflict, reaching resolution and communication best practices.
