Two Associations Managed by Community Management Professionals

Finalists Praised for “Best Website” and “Safety and Security”

Orlando, FL March 18, 2010 - Associa is proud to announce that two of the associations managed by Community Management Professionals (CMP) are named as finalists in the 2010 Florida Communities of Excellence Awards for proactively implementing programs to serve their neighbors and communities.

“The people of Cypress Isles and Deer Lake Run Associations are proactive and passionate about their communities,” said Ron Duprey, President of Community Management Professionals. “It is our pleasure to serve the homeowners of these two stellar neighborhoods who work for the benefit and betterment of everyone in the community.”

Cypress Isles in Orlando - “Best Web Site” and “Safety and Security”

• Implemented a Neighborhood Watch program, including the Citizens on Patrol Service (COPS) program in which association members were screened, trained and now operate the COPS car.
• Community Website is a well-designed, informative and up-to-date communication tool

Deer Lake Run in Apopka - “Safety and Security”

• Implemented a Neighborhood Watch program with great homeowner participation, including National Night Out.
• Association Website details criminal activity and provides safety articles and tips

The Florida Communities of Excellence Awards is the only statewide, independently judged program recognizing community associations for best practices and accomplishments who set the standard with programs such as disaster preparedness, environmental protection, water & energy conservation, community relations, financial innovation or safety & security.  The awards are sponsored by the Florida Community Association Journal and Becker & Poliakoff.
